14}Keep adding petals until you are happy with it or the rose looks some thing like this

15}Now its time for the stem get out the wire coat hanger and cut with the wire or tin snips cut it about 3 inches longer than you want the stem to be, the extra curve around the handle of the larger screw driver and bend at a 90deg angle

16}Here's where the extras come in ,find a scrap of green paper an old
Christmas envelope or a scrap of left over wrapping paper, a picture with lots
of trees from a magazine the paper you are looking for need not be much bigger
than a regular sized post it note. If you can't find anything green then color a
piece of white paper with a green pencil or felt pen.

17} cut it into ¼ in strips about 3 in long not a lot longer than 3 ins or you will
find them too difficult to work with when wet with white glue

18}For this part you must use white glue, pour a small amount onto a saucer or plastic lid, drag your paper strips through the white glue, with your fingers gently make sure the entire length of strip is coated, make certain you start off each paper strip at the angle shown in image 17, starting at one end working your way to the other. If gaps appear gently slide the wet paper strip beneath it up to meet the other white glue takes a little time to dry so you have a little time for maneuvering.

19} When the whole stem is covered all apart from the circular part at top. With a touch of glue from the hot glue gun mount the rose on it

19)
20} Cut out one of the leaf pairs I chose the larger size but if you feel the smaller is more appropriate feel free. With a largish dab of hot glue, stick it across the wire circle attach another pair to form a cross so the wire circle is firmly adhered to the rose base, bend the wire stem so it looks a little more like it originated from the center of the rose base.

20)
21)
21}Cut some more leaves individual ones this time small or large which ever goes best with your rose, fill in all the empty spaces around the wire circle until it is completely hidden and the leaves form a cup around the top of the stem

22} Now cut two large leaf pairs, glue them back to back so each printed  side faces outwards, now slice the leaf pair along the line shown in image 20,so when opened the stem can be slotted in forming a cone around  the stem glue in place I chose to use hot glue here. I then added a third leaf

If you are making the fully open rose you might like to add a little finishing Touch, to mine I fringed a tiny piece of yellow paper rolled it around the Screw driver and inserted it very carefully after a quick dab of white glue into the central cone of the rose for a touch more realism, if the yellow fringed paper protrudes beyond the level of the central column then trim it off (carefully) don't want any big mistakes at this late stage in the game.
